Open every day from 12 to 12 throughout the year. *It will close for renovations from January 20 to 26.
Serving excellent teas, coffees, and a variety of the famous Califa’s Moroccan pastries, the Tetería also serves up a range of cocktails on either the panoramic terrace or the inside bar. The Teteria is an ideal venue for an aperitivo or a digestivo before dinner at the Califa.
The Tetería del Califa is adjacent to the Jardín del Califa restaurant, situated on the flower-lined lane that provides access from the rear of the Plaza de España. Spread over two floors with art exhibits in the main salón and the basement area.
There is a permanent exhibition of photos taken between the 1960's to current of travels through Jordan, Yemen, Syria and Morrocco all taken by Charles & James Stuart (father & son, James is the co-owner of the Califa). Other exhibits are 'Phoenecian Blue' a Beddaoui glass installation, Amazigh jewellery from the Atlas mountains, watercolours of Chefchaouen by Mustafa Hamano, photographs by Alexis de Vilar and a collection of four Wilfred Thesiger portraits of Kurdish tribespeople.
